Westpro Machinery is a company specializing in the design and supply of processing and handling equipment for the mining, aggregate, and wastewater industries. Held various positions through the growth of the company including shop technical QC liaison, Mechanical Designer, appointed as Application Engineer in 2007 to provide front-end project support for preliminary system design, estimating, and project proposals. Currently working as a senior design engineer mentoring a team of designers and engineers. - Design mining, aggregate and wastewater equipment. - Oversee, manage and assist a team of 6 design engineers. - Check drawings, BOM's, purchase requisitions and estimates. - Create and test new mobile equipment concepts. - Design mineral processing equipment including crushing modules, conveyors, feeders, grinding mills, flotation machines, thickeners, agitators, clarifiers, cyclones, slurry pumps, and filtration equipment. - Design and test hydraulic power units and systems for mobile and stationary equipment. - Create sales proposals, estimates, and complete bid packages for both individual equipment and complete processing plants. - Correspond with purchasing department and suppliers on technical issues. - Work together with structural engineers to develop frames for large thickeners and processing plants. - Complete various drive train calculations and size reducers, belt drives, bearings, clutches and gears. - Perform stress analysis and flow simulation calculations using RISA and Solid Works. - Commission and assist customers with equipment installations.
