I was also responsible for managing the human resource administration of the postgraduate tutors in terms of their wages and related Human Resource procedures.Processing of leave of absence and cancellations of registration on PeopleSoft. Attending to student and staff queries via email, telephonically and in person.Although not one of my key performance areas, I was also involved in the servicing of the Re-admission Appeals Committee (RAC) for the Humanities Faculty during the 2012 cycle. This involved recording the minutes; preparing the agenda; making follow-ups with all stakeholders, students, academics and staff; liaising with and confirming attendance of academics to meetings; notifying students of the outcome (at times this would involve face-to-face mentoring in the case of a negative outcome); processing the outcome on PeopleSoft and sending out correspondence.Knowledge of University and Faculty policy framework, relevant business processes and student system processes was essential.
