He also writes reports, maintains records and ensures staff development. A schedule work assignments for the junior employees and coordinates their work. Actively involved in ensuring that employees get to work in a safe environment by monitoring how work is carried out and ensuring that the company adheres to local government regulations on health and safety. Job Description: Operates within the terminal area which includes tank farm, pump station, road truck gantry, pig catcher/launcher station, berths and oil and water separator. TEL area, fire pump station, LPG area, additive injection area, air/nitrogen/water utilities and all equipments within these areas by manual and/or instrument control under the direction of the Senior Operator.Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for performing operational functions within the assigned area in accordance with the established procedures in a safe, efficient and economical manner. Operates pumps, compressors Marine Loading arms, cranes, firewater/ foam system, TEL system, LPG system, RTW system, additive/ dye injection equipment, oil and water separator, sets lines/manifolds/telescopic tubes/jumpovers, seat valves/blinds, change filters and maintains pump levels. Takes manual measurements of tank stocks, draws, delivers and disposes samples from the laboratory, vents/drains lines, drains water from. Checks equipments and areas to ensure ordered temperatures/pressures/level rates and other operational variables are maintained and that equipments are effectively utilized. Inspects, lubricates, greases, maintains oil levels and drains water from utility reservoirs. Replaces bad order small fittings such as valves, pressure gauges and similar Carries out “Preventive Maintenance”, painting and other work as required for upkeep and general housekeeping. Initiatives repair of bad order equipment, takes equipments "Out of Service" and prepares equipment and work areas according to requirements.
