Report to Quality Manager and coordinate with welding department and NDT department.• Check MTC'S of all received welding consumables at site to ensure that all welding consumables, gases, flux, filler wires meet the code/specification requirement and are in good condition prior to use.• Radiographic Film interpretation as per B31.3.• Surveillance Inspection and raising NCR against any Non - Conformity.• To be prepare and review Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) & PQR for jobs as per specifications.• To monitor Welders performance and conduct visual inspection of welds and repairs accordance with `company procedures and international codes of practice.• To conduct awareness training program on quality welds and NDT for welders.• Reviewing of welding log, statistics, weld repair analysis, test packages, reports and documentation.• Witness the Hydrostatic test, pneumatic test, Pressure test and vacuum test as per project spec.• Root causes analysis for welding related problems and taking the corrective and preventive action.• Responsible for marking and rectification of all weld repairs identified by visual and NDE process.• Ensure and record weather conditions are acceptable in line with applicable standards/ specifications• Monitor performance of contractors, ensure Applicators are competent and where required have valid certification for the process in use, equipment is in serviceable condition.• Ensure inspection and test equipment is serviceable, with in calibration period and personnel are knowledgeable.• Maintain all contract documents, drawings, specifications and International standards as per the project requirements.• Root cause analysis for the Non-Conformances & discrepancy notice and close the accordingly with all documents. The minimum fillet weld size shall conform to WPS • Check weld proximity for spatter and arc strikes. • Check that weld and surrounding base metal is in suitable conditions for other forms of NDT to be carried out, where required and record.
