Program manager with the New Mexico Energy Office. Managed alternative energy contracts focused on alternative transportation fuels, biomass and hydrogen. Developed request for proposals, negotiated contracts, managed contacts and reported to the Department of Energy. Established the New Mexico Biomass Industry Development Working Group to encourage and assist in the development of a viable biomass industry in New Mexico to improve forest health and stimulate economic development. Assisted in the creation of the Hydrogen Technology Partnership to advance the hydrogen economy in New Mexico. Worked with private industry, Department of Energy Laboratories, foreign energy ministries and economic development organizations on policy and project development. Increased awareness of alternative fuel vehicles through public awareness events, website, media and general public outreach. Organized multiple conferences (Green Fuels Symposium and Biomass to Business) and public events (Sustainable Energy Day and Alternative Fuels Day) on clean energy. Prepared agendas, coordinated with speakers and organized business displays, served as moderator, and captured conference outcomes. Coordinated the visit of both Japanese and Korean delegations, interested in clean energy, to New Mexico. Developed agendas, facilitated meetings with the Governor’s Office, State of New Mexico Agencies, Department of Energy Laboratories (Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories) and private companies. Developed a process to track and provide analysis on relevant legislation. Served as primary point of contact for all department media requests, developed and issued press releases and coordinated press conferences. Served as the liaison to the Governor’s office and the six programmatic divisions of the department providing research and analysis and policy recommendations.
