I worked as a features journalist for Creamer Media, publisher of Engineering News and Mining Weekly, for a year, before being promoted to special projects writer at the publication house. In 2004, I was awarded with the ABB Excellence in Technology Reporting Award for an article that was published in Engineering News, titled 1968 trendsetter in billion-rand facelift . Part of the prize was a trip to ABB’s head office in Sweden. I worked as a features journalist for Creamer Media, publisher of Engineering News and Mining Weekly, for a year, before being promoted to special projects writer at the publication house.
