UnitedHealth Group is a global managed healthcare company and insurer, and an operator of a prestigious healthcare system in Brazil. I initially joined Hospital Samaritano as a caregiver, and was promoted through successive roles to oversee the Neurology Department for the hospital, then for UHG Brazil in 2015 directing the treatment of diseases affecting the nervous system for a national network of 20 hospitals. I partnered with our CEO to drive patient outcomes via leadership over a broad spectrum systems and programs, with executive responsibility for patient care, accreditation, clinical data reporting, regulatory relations and compliance, budgets, and clinical peer review. Additionally, I managed caregiver performance, and the training of advanced practitioners, providers, associates, medical residents, nurses, and administrative and support staff.
