Contribution in the project “Butyrate and Irinotecan – a new approach for colon cancer treatment”, which was developed in the Medicine Faculty of the University of Coimbra. During my internship, I had the chance to perform several techniques as: • Cell culture; • Viability and cytotoxity studies, using flow cytometry and proliferation assays; • Western blot for protein expression evaluation; • In vivo studies: tumor growth monitoring and the effect of different drugs in mice.
