Renan is a sharp full-stack. He is eager to assume responsibility, he goes the extra mile to learn what he needs to get the job done, and he has some serious experience running and optimizing a complex web platform. In about one and half years, I have seen him grow from junior developer to leader at the biggest technology product our team has built. I worked with Renan for around 18 months at Datarisk, period in which I was senior to him and also managed him, and it was amazing having him around and watching his evolution. Initially, I could teach him once, and count on him to carry on and spread the good practices. Later, I would roughly sketch ideas and he would implement; and it did not take long before he completely took control over evolution of our app. Once I left the company, Renan was mentoring the next generation of developers. Quite a short path from junior to tech leader! Oh, and by the way, he did it with F# in both front and backend, with a relational database, and with lots of machine learning in it. The machine running the project had about 120 CPU cores and 500 Gb of RAM, and Renan was directly responsible for deploying and optimizing the system. If you are looking for a talented and dedicated software engineer, look no more, and give Renan a call! Ask him about how to optimize your supply chain with machine learning, and allow this young man to surprise you with the war stories he collected at such an young age.

Renan cares and knows how to implement world-class software systems. He also cares about doing the right thing. You can count on him to fight for that. He was one of the most, if not *the* most, performant developer I have met in my time as CTO of Datarisk. Here's one accomplishment that I think illustrates this: • He was the core dev behing a multi man-year F# project that handled the demand planning for the whole Brazil region of a S&P 100 company. He is polite, pleasant, and you can count on him on the trenches. He also commands skills from electronics to functional programming. You'd be lucky to have him on your team. I certainly was.

Datarisk transforms data into business intelligence in order to help customer's decision-making process.I was leading a consultancy initiative for one of the biggest Latin America online marketplaces. My role was to help junior developers to apply query optimization techniques using Google BigQuery over a complex database of petabytes in size for feeding visualization tools.Currently, I am one of the core developers behind a full-cycle MLOps product. My role is to keep the codebase concise while providing features such as training, deploying and monitoring all sorts of Python machine learning models. In addition to it, I help to maintain the production environment in a Kubernetes AKS cluster.I am being constantly challenged with microservices integration in a complex architecture. I am grateful to be here. Show less

May 2021 - Feb 2022
I was the main developer behind a multi man-year F# consultancy project that handled the demand planning for the whole Brazil region of an S&P 100 company. My role was to implement specific features for their business model conjointly with their team daily routine needs. In this project, I could fully explore the F# SAFE stack and leverage my relational database knowledge. Here I could work with a world-class team of software engineers, where I learned best practices and realized I was not just typing magic words on a glowing screen. Mar 2020 - Dec 2020
Enext is a digital marketing, advertisement and e-commerce consulting reference in the brazilian market.Throughout the year, I have built many e-commerce applications using the Oracle Commerce Cloud platform. Each project was crafted for the specific needs of our customers, where I could explore different tech stacks from the realms of JavaScript and C#. Besides, I also helped the business analytics team doing some Python automation scripts for Power BI and had my first introduction with agile and scrum methodologies. It was a great opportunity to grow. I have valuable stories there. Show less

Summer Intern
-
Jan 2020 - Feb 2020
It was my first experience with consultancy projects. I mostly worked on web and mobile e-commerce applications, implementing small features, hotfixes, testing and QA. The memories that stood out the most were that I could practice reactive programming and had a heavy usage of the observer design pattern. It was also during this period that I could be sure I wanted to be a Software Engineer.
