I stood as an advocate along with the school counsellor to maintain the well-being of students in a K-12 private elementary school. As a school psychologist, I first and foremost listened to students’ concerns, and accordingly provided direct and indirect support by individual interventions and counseling with teachers respectively.My main duties included teaching pro-social behaviors to students within the school environment using positive reinforcement, goal-setting and modeling; and counsel students individually to discuss emotional and social issues. I also participated in the meetings with parents to provide regular updates on their child's development and progress as well as their emotional functioning.Finally, I participated in the evaluation sessions for student admissions as an observer.

Durante il mio percorso di tirocinio, ho potuto svolgere un'attivita di osservazione di interventi positivi, in continuo scambio con un'equipe di professionisti, avvenuti in studio, domicilio e luoghi di frequenza comune. Questa esperienza mi ha permesso di approfondire le tematiche legate alla disabilità, disturbi del comportamento e tematiche legate alle situazioni familiari problematiche. Lo stage includeva anche una formazione settimanale volto alla stesura report, esercitazioni pratiche, t-group, supervisione e studio di test.I worked together with a team of passionate professionals helping children with development difficulties, children with disabilities and adults. This experience allowed me to deepen the issues related to disability, behavioral disorders and problematic family situations. The internship also included weekly training aimed at writing reports, practical exercises, t-groups, supervision and test study.

At my internship in "Oikia per la Famiglia" I had the opportunity to assume the position of a teacher aid in an International Elementary school in Padua. I assisted a 7-year-old boy, supporting him with behaviour and emotional management by implementing techniques such as rapport building and proximity; and teaching strategies like scaffolding and question techniques.Grazie al mio tirocinio presso Oikia per la famiglia, ho potuto svolgere delle attività di supporto di un bambino con difficolta`, presso una scuola primaria internazionale del territorio.
