As Site Supervisor I am responsible for my staff (leaders) and the participants (children grades K - 5th) at my site. Daily I check them in and out using exceptional customer service with each family, make sure they get breakfast lunch or snack, and make sure our participants either get to their bus on time or get into their school on time. We plan and execute crafts and activities such as making slime, lava lamps (out of water bottles), cooking simple recipes, and creating new games so they don't have time to get bored. I ensure that my leaders arrive on time, clock in and out, and are engaged with our participants. in addition I complete staff reviews, warnings and praises, along with completing the weekly food and supply order. • Aug 2004 - Jan 2015

During my time at Tillers I moved up from dietary aide, to cook, to pm supervisor, and for the last three years I was employed here I held the position of one of two Dietary Managers. During my three years as manager, the last two out of three resulted in deficient free surveys in our department from IDPH. As Dietary Manager I had many responsibilities that helped me gain useful skills such as, computer skills related to Microsoft Outlook / Word / Excel, also PCC (point click care computerized medical charts), and online food / supply ordering. Event planning was also a unique skill I acquired by assisting in the planning and executing of holiday meals, special resident events, and catering for marketing events. The day to day running's of the dietary department includes inspections of kitchen and storage facilities. Maintaining a safe and sanitary working environment as well as ensured compliance with health regulations. I Supervised quality and presentation of food, handled daily dining room rounds, managed food preparation as per time frame, and took care of updating of diet cards as needed. I assist with creating menus that are nutritious, season appropriate, and that have palatability. I was solely responsible for purchasing and maintaining our inventory of food / supplies, the scheduling of thirty department employees, and the execution of any In-services. In addition I played a large role in assisting with such functions as: Organization of office, store rooms, and kitchen, new resident interviews, MDS / Care Plans / Risk Assessments (for low risk residents), performance reviews of employees, interview / select department applicants, attend interdisciplinary team meetings, and compile reports for quarterly meetings.
