As the point person for CLASP’s foundation fundraising, Renae provides leadership over CLASP's foundation grant process and funder relationships. She develops and coordinates relationships with a wide range of foundation funders, and administers key aspects of CLASP’s foundation fundraising, including drafting, coordinating, and reviewing proposals and reports. Renae also works closely with the development director and development associate to achieve CLASP’s fundraising goals, identify needs, and implement new systems.RESPONSIBILITIES- Leads cultivation efforts of foundation relations at CLASP including staff preparation for funder meetings, relationship-building with prospects and funders, and strategic planning for funder cultivation.-Leads the writing process, including drafting, editing, and submitting persuasive letters of intent (LOIs) and proposals across the range of CLASP’s policy areas to private and public foundations and corporations.- Prepares strategic approaches and briefing materials for the executive director and senior staff in advance of funder meetings.- Cultivates a deep understanding of CLASP projects and programs to inform LOIs and proposals, case statements, concept papers, and reports. This includes meeting with CLASP staff across all departments.- Develops, tracks, and manages the proposal development process in coordination with CLASP policy and finance staff.- Prepares high-quality reports on foundation compliance and stewardship.- Works with CLASP’s communications team to draft and distribute annual reports and other content.
