      • Jan 2021 - Jun 2021

I worked as teaching assistant in the course MAT1110 - Calculus and Linear Algebra. I prepared and held weekly group sessions where students came to learn and master the course topics. The course focuses on multivariable calculus and gives an introduction to linear algebra. The course serves both as a math course to teach techniques in multivariable calculus but also to prepare students for a more advanced course in linear algebra.Course description: https://www.uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/math/MAT1110/index-eng.html Show less

    • Teaching Assistant in FYS2140
      • Jan 2021 - Jun 2021

FYS2140 - Quantum Physics is an introductory course to quantum physics. The first part of the course deals with the historical development and need for a quantum mechanical description of nature. The second part takes the wave mechanics approach where it studies the Schrödinger equation and beats it to death. The third part deals with a few applications to atoms, molecules and decay rates, to name a few.Course description: https://www.uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/fys/FYS2140/index-eng.html

    • Teaching Assistant in FYS3150/FYS4150
      • Aug 2020 - Dec 2020

I worked as a teaching assistant in an a course in computational physics (FYS3150/FYS4150), an advanced undergraduate/masters course. It covers topics such as eigenvalue methods and other methods to solve linear equations, numerical solutions to ordinary and partial differential equations, Monte Carlo methods for integration and sampling of physical systems such as the Ising model among other methods. It also covers high-performance computing topics such as optimiziation of serial codes and parallelization using OpenMP and MPI. I held two classes weekly, called computer labs, where I helped students with coding problems, understanding algorithms and the pertinent mathematics and so on. In addition I was part of the grading process, correcting their project assignments.Course description: https://www.uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/fys/FYS3150/index-eng.html Show less

    • Teaching Assistant in MAT1120
      • Aug 2020 - Dec 2020

I worked as a teaching assistant in an advanced course on linear algebra, MAT1120. It covers topics such as abstract vector spaces, representation theory, polynomial and function spaces, standard techniques to obtain an orthonormal basis via the Gram-Schmidt process, common matrix factorizations, spectral theorem for symmetric matrices and so on. I taught three groups in this course weekly and corrected mandatory assignments.Course description: https://www.uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/math/MAT1120/index-eng.html Show less

    • Research Assistant
      • Jun 2020 - Aug 2020

I worked with development of educational resources at CCSE for students in UiO's introductory course to electromagnetism, FYS1120. Here I was part of a small team of students where we developed new problems with accompanying solutions and new lab-problems. In particular, we took inspiration from CERNs DIY Paul trap setup and created an accompanying mandatory assignment which theoretically models the Paul trap where students were tasked to gradually develop the model and implement a numerical simulation in Python. Unfortunately, due to the nature of project, it's not open-source.A link to CCSE can be found here: https://www.mn.uio.no/ccse/english/Course description: https://www.uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/fys/FYS1120/index-eng.html Show less

      • Jan 2020 - Aug 2020

I worked as a teaching assistant in the course FYS-MEK1110 - Mechanics where I prepared and held weekly group sessions where students came to learn and the master the course topics. The course gives an introduction to Newtonian Mechanics and special relativity. I was also took part in the evaluation of the final exam.

    • Teaching Assistant in FYS1120 - Electromagnetism
      • Aug 2019 - Dec 2019

Worked as a teaching assistant in FYS1120 - Electromagnetism. I held Q\&A-sessions in where students could come with any question regarding theory or problems to seek help. The course focuses on Maxwell's equations starting from electrostatics, moving onto magnetostatics before it finally delves into electrodynamics. There's also some rudimentary circuit theory as an application of Maxwell's equations.Course description: https://www.uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/fys/FYS1120/index-eng.html

    • Teaching Assistant in MAT-INF1100
      • Aug 2019 - Dec 2019

Worked as a teaching assistant in MAT-INF1100 - Modelling and Computations. Each week, I prepared a weekly group session in which I help students learn and master the subject(s) of the week. I corrected mandatory assignments as well. This course is centered around numerical methods to differentiate, integrate and find zeros of functions. It further looks at methods to solve ordinary differential equations analytically and numerically. There's some number theory and number systems as well as how numbers are represented and manipulated on a computer.Course description: https://www.uio.no/studier/emner/matnat/math/MAT-INF1100/index-eng.html Show less

    • Research Assistant
      • Jun 2019 - Aug 2019

Worked as a research assistant hired by CCSE, but worked under supervision by CINPLA, at UiO - summer 2019. CINPLA is known as the Centre for Integrative Neuroplasticity. The focus of my project was to look into a machine learning (ML) algorithm known as a Restricted Boltzmann Machine, RBM. It's (in short) a generative ML-model which can be used to learn probability distributions of complicated datasets. I implemented an object-oriented code in Python meant to serve as a template for further usage by the researchers at CINPLA.
