Working as part of an Agile Development team my responsibilities at CashFlows are to work with Business Analysts and QA Testers to implement user stories across our range of .NET Core REST API’s. A developer at CashFlows is expected to write efficient, high quality maintainable C# and SQL code which is production ready by the end of our 3 week sprint. At Cashflows we utilise a range of frameworks and utilities to ensure high standards. Automated unit testing is carried out using xUnit with Fluent Assertions. We use Github for version control using a Gitflow branching strategy to manage releases. Pull requests are peer-reviewed, unit tested and more recently demonstrated to a QA before being merged into a feature branch. Our .NET solutions are deployed to Linux Servers hosted by Amazon Web Services using Team City and Chef. Logs for all of our environment are aggregated using Splunk. I have worked on a number of interesting projects whilst at Cashflows including a major refactor to enable batching in our Account Updater API. I played a crucial role in the implementation of integration tests using Specflow when the business shifted to BDD and have recently helped with the implementation and certification with Visa of 3DS v2 within the Cashflows Payments API. At PA Consulting I was responsible for developing solutions using a mixture of technologies including .NET C#, SQL, SSIS, BizTalk and SharePoint. In the short time I was at PA Consulting I was involved in a number of releases ranging from rudimentary updates to existing C# and BizTalk applications to the development and deployment of C# applications, including an invoice conversion application which copied and converted invoices from a network share to SharePoint. Whilst at PA I also delivered a small project to create a BizTalk solution which uploaded employee details to a third party mail application which was used by the business to send targeted email communications. Whilst at PA Consulting I refined my ability to learn technologies and rapidly learned how to support and develop BizTalk and SSIS to effectively debug and troubleshoot integration problems. I also had exposure to a different style of coding and have read a great deal of code which used different frameworks and methods of providing .NET solutions. A part of my role at PA Consulting was supporting the deployment PeopleSoft Projects within PA Consulting, having to learn and take on pre-existing applications and produce a range of documentation for the various interfaces used to deliver the project. At Anglia Ruskin University I write .NET microservices and web applications using C#. The applications I develop use a range of technologies including .NET MVC, JavaScript and Entity Framework. To test applications I utilise MOQ, SpecFlow, Coypu (Selenium wrapper) running all tests automatically when deployed through our CI pipeline using Jenkins and Octopus.During my employment at Anglia I have worked on a number of small and large projects using Agile and Scrum project methodologies. In 2017 I assumed the role of technical lead on the Environments and Integrations workstreams for our project to replace our Learning Management System. In 2018 I worked on a project to design and implemented an on-premise SharePoint 2016 platform. I have also written various microsservices, including a service that posts forms from our website (Sitecore) to our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics CRM).This year I have been sharing my understanding of Integration Testing with our team, running workshops that demonstrate how to implement HttpClient testing using Specflow. • Support Analyst

I joined Anglia Ruskin in 2010 in the role of Customer Support Analyst. The role required a mixed skillset as we provided 1st line support, fielding calls and emails from our customers and 2nd line technical support at their desk or in teaching areas. In this role I prided myself on my soft skills and my ability to communicate technical concepts to customers with a range of technical ability. Between July 2014 until I left in March 2015 I was Acting Senior Support Analyst which gave me experience of line management responsibilities over 5 staff members, this role included managing colleague workloads, running 1-1’s, team meetings and group workshops. I also responded to and resolved customer complaints and where necessary acting internally. During this time, I led the project to deliver IT resource for Clearing, a key time for the University. I was also proud to be elected to represent Anglia Ruskin support services on Senate, and won a WOW Award for customer service. Show less

Using SAP R/3, I was responsible for implementing and maintaining customer accounts, creating and managing price and discount conditions, testing and implementing changes within R3 and designing database queries. I also provided support to colleagues using the system. I did this through creating and updating user guides and training documentation, offering advice on system usage and behaviour and troubleshooting software issues. At Acrelec I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects and learn multiple skills. Our key project was the supply of Customer Order Displays (COD) to McDonald’s Restaurants UK. My role in the project involved setting up test systems in McDonald’s head office, organising installation of COD’s at trial restaurants across the UK, using customer feedback to direct revisions to the hardware and software teams and the creation of technical and training documentation. Further projects include Point of Sale installation and configuration for Popcornopolis and Monceau Fleur, provision of Head Office services for McDonald’s UK franchisees and the management and installation of Self Service Kiosks for Kentucky Fried Chicken franchisees. The key skills I developed throughout these projects include project management, project planning, procurement, support management, support documentation, creation of training guides, one to one training, group training, basic networking, software development, hardware development, hardware and software installation and offering total support services to clients.
