      Prior to my teaching at St. Thomas I worked as a tenured teacher for the Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools in the elementary education arena at Ephesus Elementary School. Before that I had achieved tenure in the New York City Public School system, working in District 26 as an elementary school teacher. I have taught all elementary grades as well as handled the Distrtict 26 environmental education program which endeavored to offer an entree to pond ecology, forestry and animal adaptations to 2nd grade students within the district, using the natural resources of Alley Pond Park and Preserve.
