On June 15th, 2018, we hosted a symposium bringing together maternity care providers from the five 1A (no caesarean sections) sites across British Columbia to discuss issues around sustaining maternity services in their respective sites. At the end of October 2018, we hosted a symposium bringing together Health Authorities, the BC Ministry of Health, and other key stakeholders to discuss actions and ways to move forward in sustaining rural maternity services. My key role in the project was to plan and organize all logistics for the symposiums. This included securing event space, ordering catering, organizing transportation and accommodations for participants, and ensuring the meeting room is set up properly. Post symposium, I helped to compile and analyze findings from the symposiums. Show less
