Khushi Pediatric Therapy Center is a registered NGO that seeks to help and empower children with learning disabilities, cerebral palsy and autism. It offers Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Behavior Therapy, Special Education, Art Based Therapy and Vocational Training. It also conducts standardized testing and offers Counselling services for parents.Founded in June 2000, Khushi is run by a team of well-trained professionals who are passionate about their work and treat the children with utmost care and love. Services provided:-VOLUNTEER PROGRAMOur Volunteers are the providers of our core values. They selflessly invest personal time for helping kids who are physically challenged and also for those who cannot afford treatment at clinics by providing in- home services.PARENT COUNSELLINGA parent whose child has just been diagnosed with autism is usually in a state of denial. We help the parent to cope better by explaining the nature of the disability, the scope for improvement and how others have benefitted from therapy.INTENSIVE THERAPY PROGRAMIntensive individual therapy with one hour dedicated to behavioural or special education therapy and another hour devoted to occupational and/or physiotherapy.MOTHER CHILD PROGRAMIn this program, the parent works with the child, initially with a therapist's assistance, then under their guidance and later independently. The aim of the program is to help a parent cope effectively and productively with her child, at home. Therapists guide parents on how to tackle problem behaviour, and how to reinforce acceptable behaviour.PARENT TRAINING WORKSHOPSWe conduct workshops on topics of relevance to parents that help them understand what their child is going through and what are the reasons for the type of therapy their child is receiving. This helps parents get a deeper understanding on the condition of their child. At present, we have two centres -one in Andheri and the other in Borivli!!!
