Working as a contracted Project Manager for Rio Tinto Kennecott, i have been involved in a wide range of projects: commercial-type projects such as a new change house facility, many civil projects, including new access roads, haul roads, rockfall protection, underground work, smelter and concentrator projects. As Engineering Manager, responsibilities included tracking and delivering, on time and within budget, dozens of design projects each year. Additionally, new clients were sought; developing long-term working relationships, adding stability to the department. Worked as the Engineering Lead on a wide range of projects, including renovations on multi-story post-tensioned concrete buildings, innovative building solutions using modular, steel shipping containers, and multi-million dollar homes. Designs included complex foundations, steel shell structures, composite carbon-fiber / concrete, bridges, retaining walls and timber buildings.
