      I spent a year working as an English language assistant at I.E.S. Carlos III, a secondary school in the San Blas area of Madrid. I worked with students from ages 12-18 who were studying English as a second language. Lessons varied depending on the level of students. The presentations had to be engaging and adaptable to to students of varying levels of English. I was also responsible for conversation classes with groups of 6 students. For these classes, I needed to always have new topics/themes ready for discussion and be able to pick up on common mistakes that students make. I also helped teach grammar and pronunciation to students, alongside the main classroom teacher.
