From my research, I develop Public Service Announcements that are announced over a local radio station. I also develop pamphlets for consumers to grab and educate themselves and others. Working as an environmental specialist intern I am exposed to the policies and regulations on septic systems and permits in the food industry. I communicate with consumers who call and ask about the position of the septic system on the land the consumer bought or looking to buy. In order to discover this information, I utilize a program called GIS mapping. If I am unable to locate the septic system, I utilize tangible cards with the location of the septic system if on file.
