When first starting my employment at In The Zone (now LMC Partners trading as Zone Accounts) my time was equally split between Accounts and Reception. However, after 6 months I was asked to take a full-time position in the Accounts department due to my quick comprehension of the skills and software and my willingness to learn and progress. Since then I feel I have learnt invaluable skills in many areas of Accounting, Bookkeeping and particularly Payroll. From small start-up company's to large multi-department businesses, I have had to adapt and cater to each businesses best interest through building good working relationships and exceeding expectations at all opportunities.Although never working in an Accounts setting previous to In The Zone, within 2 years I am now knowledgeable in a considerable range of software such as Sage 50 Accounts, Sage 50 Payroll, Payroll Manager, Xero and Practice Management as well as knowledge on the workings of websites for numerous pension providers.

Shortly after receiving my AAT approved Level 1 in Accounting, my employer gave me the opportunity to work one day a week with another Accountancy Firm. This allowed me to gain an insight into how other firms operate and to learn different systems in accounting, predominantly Xero. This was a fantastic opportunity for me as I learnt a great deal from working at Ambledene Online not only technical skills such as bank reconciliations, invoice processing and spreadsheet formulations but also professional skills such as teamwork and adapting to a new environment, communication skills and time management with the ability to work under pressure due to the small amount of time that was spent at the firm. I really enjoyed my time at Ambledene and I welcome any opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge.
