AQP Lead
-
Feb 2012 - Nov 2014
This company runs community ultrasound, gynaecology and ophthalmology services. The company is also an AQP approved provider of community non obstetric ultrasound scans. I was the AQP Lead for South Staffordshire and Nottingham and also the lead for the Choose & Book system, managing a team within the company. I booked patients and assisted in the running of ultrasound clinics as well as conducting clinical audits. I improved and developed my communication skills and experience as I was required to liaise with not only patients but other healthcare professionals such as Doctors, Hospital Staff, Sonographers and Consultants to develop and promote working partnerships to enable the continued care of our patients. I also help to source new business enabling the company to expand. To enable me to do this, I met with health centre practice managers on a regular basis to promote the service that I managed. I was required to run statistical data to produce accurate reports including patient satisfaction data and finance. Being in this role enabled me to use the theoretical knowledge of health care management and promotion and project management skills and put these to practical use.
