In 2019 the now distributor for Madi Lane, Luv Bridal began operations to take the brand international. A handful of key staff members who had been working on the project since 2017 made the move across to Madi Lane Limited and in my case, the move across the world to introduce bridal stores in the UK and Europe to a little-known label, which thanks to its expert marketing, was to become a collection with a cult following. After a whirlwind first year Madi Lane launched Evie Young and I grew my customer-base to to almost 150 retailers before the company was able to expand and employ additional representation (and customer service) for our British and European partners. My time at Madi Lane was incredibly formative and helped me to forge strong connections with bridal industry professionals around the world - I look forward to continuing to work with you all if not now, then at some point in the future. Thank you for making my time at Madi Lane so wonderful and memorable.

With eight stores nation-wide, Luv Bridal has fast become Australia’s largest bridal retailer necessitating an in-house marketing team that handles everything from social media content creation and EDM campaigns to photo shoots and branding strategy. In addition to liaising with my team regarding the daily monitoring of our public channels, maintenance of various websites under our umbrella and implementation of the marketing schedule, I personally generate literature that speaks directly to our customers via promotional materials and the more traditional of ATL mediums.I frequently turn my hand to more creative tasks such as product descriptions, graphic design and article writing with a focus on keywords and SEO. I am also responsible for the company's online profile and out-going press: regularly writing releases for both domestic and international media outlets and responding to feedback. An understanding of analytics is also an important part of the job, which helps me to track conversion rates and devise effective strategies to drive traffic to our websites.

The relationship forged between the Cue Clothing Company and myself during the past decade has been one of great affection and mutual respect. Established in 1968, its 45th year was to be my last with the company, but I know the lessons I have learnt as a loyal employee will stay with me and serve me for years to come. Cue supported me throughout my many academic endeavours, short trips and long stints living overseas, but always welcomed me back into the fold when I sought employment or as the case often was, missed my regular clientele.

In September of 2003 I completed a month’s work experience at Taxi Film Production, at the end of which I was offered a full-time position upon completion of my senior diploma. After graduation I pursued my interest in the film industry and worked full-time as ‘front of house.’ Consistent with the nature of the film industry my role varied from receptionist in the office, to runner on set, occasionally crossing over into wardrobe assistant, make-up artist, casting director, content writer and translator for visiting Japanese film crews on assignment before trying my hand at production assistant- an incredibly demanding role. One of my productions and its credits can be viewed by accessing the link below.
