  At WP Thompson I work for a Partner and a Senior Associate (Biochemistry and Chemical) My roles include: • Preparing documentation and monitoring various formalities relevant to the filing of UK, European, Foreign and PCT patent applications • Acting as point of contact for clients and international attorneys, particularly in India and the US, on fee-earner behalf and dealing with basic general enquiries, providing and receiving patent filings and prosecution instructions • Undertaking typing (audio and copy) of documents, including letters, reports, specifications, forms, etc. • Monitoring deadlines and providing clients with timely reminders of due dates • Monitoring fee-earner deadlines/workloads and maintaining fee-earner diary • Preparation of invoices and monitoring fee-earner Work In Progress • Arranging fee-earner travel and accomodation • Weekly team meetings with my team, progress targets. • Overlooking that the team have enough workload and the first point of call on a day-to-day basis, for any fee earners whose secretary is off.
