  Examine nursing candidates in an acute clinical setting for safe, entry level nursing practice. Aspects of care are evaluated according to evidenced based protocols for patient care. Candidates are observed in performance of delivering care and assessed for following Nursing Process through the development of an appropriate Nursing Plan of Care, implementation and evaluation of the care during the clinical experience. Improved quality of care delivered through Quality management processes-auditing, analyzing, revising and re-evaluating processes. Initiated a team project which resulted in the elimination of restraint use. This project received an award from the Pa. Dept. of Public Welfare.
