  My lecturer couldn't have been any more wrong when he told us we would probably just be making tea and coffee and observing while we are on placement. On my first day they threw me in as producer of a live show. Since my first day, I've been doing bits and bobs from producing, editing, researching, presenting to working on the desk as sound tech.
