I was responsible for finding engaging ways to share our research and policy outputs on our website, email and social media channels, using the Adobe creative suite to produce graphics, gifs, social media tiles and short video clips, and also creating interactive charts and maps using Everviz, Tableau and Datawrapper. I proofed and uploaded content to The King's Fund website using the Drupal CMS, plus HTML and CSS coding, and was responsible for managing the website, ensuring pages were up-to-date and designing new pages for the site when the need arose. I produced the Fund's weekly newsletter, and wrote engaging copy for our email and social media channels and also managed our Google Adwords account. In addition, I led our internal data work to evaluate how impactful our digital outputs were and how well we met audience needs using Google Analytics, Google Trends and other analytics tools. I also played an active role in the Fund's Diversity and Inclusion work, leading on several D&I projects, such as the Diverse Voices in Health and Care listing. I also brought this lens to my day-to-day role by considering how the Fund could use its digital channels to be an inclusive organisation and showcase a diverse range of voices in its outputs.

PageTiger is a digital publishing platform with a dedicated in-house creative agency. Working as part of this small creative team, I independently manage a large and varied portfolio of client projects. As Editor, my primary responsibility is overseeing client projects from initial brief to completion. This involves taking the client’s content and re-imagining it in an engaging digital way, copywriting and editing to prepare the content for design and then collaborating with the design team to come up with a final look that is optimised for impactful online viewing. I also create custom CSS and Javascript code styled for each client in accordance with their branding to add bespoke interactive details to these online publications. In addition to my core role, I am also responsible for updating and maintaining our company website using WordPress.

    • Junior Editor

    • Editorial Assistant
      • Feb 2017 - Mar 2018

Joining the team as an assistant, I initially started by helping the other Editors with their client projects. I quickly progressed in the role and soon became a key player in the team with increasing responsibility, both on the projects themselves and managing clients. I also brought my marketing experience to the role and continued to assist with the weekly production of marketing campaigns, in addition to my editorial responsibilities.

    • Marketing Assistant
      • Apr 2016 - Feb 2017

As Marketing Assistant, my responsibilities included: assisting with design and copywriting for marketing campaigns, engaging with prospective clients via phone and email, running the live chat, manning the support phone line and independently producing our bi-weekly marketing magazine, all while working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven department to close sales each month.

    • Online Publishing Intern
      • Oct 2015 - Apr 2016

In this role, my responsibilities were assisting the rest of the team with client projects, including writing articles for print and online, proofreading and picture research. This gave me an excellent grounding in the workings of a creative agency and an ambition to work my way up to a full-time position in the team.

As library clerk I was responsible for completing and processing book orders from departmental staff. This often involved an element of research, for example sourcing the correct edition of a book or an out-of-print text. In addition, I created and managed the monthly budget spreadsheet for the department using MS Excel. • Production Intern
      • Jun 2012 - Jul 2012

While at Windfall Films I worked as part of the production team for the award winning series Inside Nature’s Giants. A large part of my role was arranging the practical aspects of the film shoots, for example researching and booking accommodation and flights. I was also responsible for producing and updating the film shoot call sheets, spreadsheets containing every detail of the film shoot. In addition, one of my main duties was to fact check the film scripts for the series and National Geographic personally commended me for the quality for my work. I also learned how to operate film-editing software and assisted in the production of the Inside Nature’s Giants film trailers for Channel 4. Additionally, I performed general administrative tasks such as completing post-production paperwork and transcribing un-cut footage into working film scripts.
