There are many roles and responsibilities which vary from week to week and provide for a great range of experience. Through this internship, I assisted in creating the Human Trafficking Prevention Curriculum for the State of Ohio to be implemented for youth. In addition, I co-facilitated the 13th Annual International Human Trafficking Conference and have participated in the preparation of other events, such as the Annual Multi-Faith Prayer Breakfast. Along with two other individuals, I co-piloted the creation of the Global Association of Human Trafficking Scholars and am the creator of the website for this association. I am in charge of the Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute's website and social media. I also serve as a co-chair on the Mental Health Protocols Subcommittee for the Lucas County Human Trafficking Coalition. Furthermore, I have participated in a significant assortment of other projects, including applying for a grant to fund a collaborative program to serve human trafficking clients in Lucas County.

    • Volunteer Coordinator
      • Sep 2015 - Aug 2016

Along with collecting, organizing, and graphing data, I assisted with the facilitation of professional services offered to clients at the Center. This entailed coordinating appointments, giving tours of the Center, and resolving any issue that a client might be having. Kate's Closet is a non-profit service wherein clients may make appointments to receive donated professional clothes for free with the advise of a designated volunteer fashion consultant. As the Kate's Closet Coordinator, I coordinated the volunteer consultants and the clients to determine appointment details. I processed all donations (clothes, accessories, cosmetics, etc.), implemented a systematic method of organizing them, and used them to set up, facilitate, and sometimes supervise Kate's Closet Appointments. I also completed and processed the paperwork for these appointments. Although I no longer work at the Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women, I am a current Advisory Board Member.

Second Chance (now known as RISE) is a non-profit agency which provides services to victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking. There are numerous meetings which take place during the week, as well as several rooms of clothes, toiletries, and other donations designated for the clients. In addition to attending group meetings and providing support to clients at each opportunity, I was responsible for sorting through all donations and getting them to the clients. Along with this, my main function was to coordinate any volunteers and donations for the agency.
