During her tenure at Gameswork Rebecca and I worked together on both strategic and operational HR projects; Rebecca has a comprehensive grasp of all HR issues and demonstrates exceptional interpersonal agility. Rebecca is a true HR professional and it was a pleasure to work with her.

To handle the enormous HR workload involved in growing a company several fold in next to no time is hard enough, but throw in the acquisition of a new studio and the start-up of an off shore facility in India and the task becomes Monumental – as Rebecca found out. Through all this she managed to retain a caring professionalism that was appreciated at all levels of the company and seemed to handle the situation with ease. Her understanding of the demands of a games studio and it’s staff was crucial to the company. She was great to work with and I would recommend her to any company looking for a top class HR manager or director, without the slightest reservation.

Romax is an International SME, over 200 employees in 10 locational (Asia, US, Europe) specializing in software development solutions for the Renewable Energy and Automotive Markets. Reporting to the COO, and working as part of the Executive Management team, I had full responsibility for HR strategically across the International businesses and operationally in the UK. Managing a team of 2 (HR and H&S), and dotted line management for overseas HR. As the key HR decision maker, I rolled out a 2 year HR plan to introduce, embed and evaluate appropriate HR activity across this diverse, complex and company . Over 20 years of ER 'history' but with start up growth characteristics, the aim was to 'commercialise and professionalise' the company and get them 'fit for purpose' by providing the right tools for future growth. This included the operational environment, systems, people, compliance, due diligence, culture and alignment of vision. In less than 2 years, in adverse circumstances, I created, embedded and engaged a solid foundation and framework to grow the future HR requirements and introduced a broad range of HR Generalists activities across Attraction/Resourcing, L&D, C&B, Immigration/Global Mobility/ER/HR Systems and Organisational Development. I started the HR function from scratch (15 employees) to become solely responsible for over 120 staff in both Nottingham and Germany in less than 1 year, offering ample opportunity to be exposed and involved in all aspects of the business growth. My role was to develop and implement relevant HR strategies which supported the business and growth plans as well as provide a HR framework that supports the business in both UK and Germany. The company grew from 2 sites (15 employees) to 25 sites (German location) and 120 employees. I delivered HR activity on a bilingual basis over 25 sites in 2 countries, reviewed and implemented relevant HR policy and procedures in line with business needs and organisational culture.
