In this position, the SCO (Senior Clinical Officer) manages available resources and applies expertise in triage of patient placement in conjunction with the AOD (Administrator on Duty). Frequent interaction with with Management staff of all Service Lines. Clinical resource to Nursing Units and responded to all Medical and Behavioral emergencies. Code Leader in those circumstances. Frequent interaction with consumers throughout the facility to ensure satisfaction of patient care delivery. Vigilant oversight of compliance with Joint Commission standard and preparation. Served as Emergency Disaster member with completion of training through FEMA. In preparation for move to Texas in June, 2013, I gained clinical experience in the Special Procedure Unit providing Conscious Sedation to Endoscopy cases and also providing "pre and post" procedural care to GI, GU, Cardiac Cath and Infusion areas of this Unit. This was a fast paced unit performing up to 30 procedures a day to GI patients alone in five suites. In the ten years I worked at Orlando Regional Medical Center, I gained a wealth of experience ranging from Staff Nurse to Charge Nurse and Preceptor. Also had training in Supervising staff, and managing staffing schedules.
