I was a one-on-one online tutor for Physics and Maths up to A-level standard. This required an ability to explain concepts clearly, to build the confidence of students and to manage my own schedule. Examples of these tests included: ● measuring the level of mycotoxins in grain samples to see if they were safe for human consumption ● performing Hagberg falling number tests- this is the international standard for determining how 'strong' flour is ● preparing seed samples for germination tests I worked here for two summers analysing grain samples from the harvest. In my role as a class assistant I was responsible for providing support to the maths students. This involved answering student questions and marking their work. Additionally, I helped early learners (aged between 3 and 5) through their workbooks. I also sharpened the pencils, if that's important to know!
