Reana has been such a joy to communicate with. While being a current remote intern at Sony Music Entertainment, my position involved confronting Berklee students virtually to record a survey for comparing artistic backgrounds and plans for involvement in the music industry. Here is a strong quality I observed from Reana that drew me to believe that success awaits her. She has such incredible observation skills and is an expert at giving feedback! When I showed her some songs I’ve attempted to produce, the extensive responses I received from Reana were far what I was expecting. I was waiting for just a short response. However, this girl can be quite picky about details and very critical about what she observes in works created by both others and herself, but she’s critical in such a way that would encourage others to perform at their best. She’s openly willing to provide constructive criticism, and I realized that because of this, her works are far from mediocre. I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard a recent bad piece created by her, and she really ensures she applies the most to anything she creates. When it comes to music, media, or anything involving the arts, Reana can be such an inspiration. She will be there to provide helpful advice with as much detail that there is to address. I had the pleasure of working alongside Reana last year as a guitarist and group member in one of her remote peer projects called Luminescence, an electro-alternative virtual music collaboration project featuring original songs and covers. After my experience working with with her, I can by all means tell you that right here is a woman of many strengths and creative accomplishments. She is extremely talented, and it really shows through her work. As our producer, composer, and vocalist, not only does she use her exceptional music production and sound design skills to make such clear, full professional-quality mixes, but I also perceive her voice as very unique, with a distinct tone that’s separates itself from other singers. The other members have described her as a power vocalist with a dynamic way of stylizing her voice. As she also developed the image of the band, I was even delighted to observe further artistic creation pertaining her to video editing, graphic design, and web design knowledge. She’s able to take abstract looped clips and compile them to create incredible audio-visual products, perfectly syncing video motion effects to song beats and rhythms. The visuals always seem to match the feel and energy that our songs express. As a current film production student, I found this to particularly satisfying to me. Knowing that Reana is able to perform well in multiple fields is impressive and continues to blow my mind up to this day. If you don’t know about this girl, you’re really missing out. Her masterpieces do not deserve to be lingering in the shadows. I learned a lot from just working with her, even within a limited period during unprecedented times.
