I served as squad leader during our mission of providing security for the entirety of Camp Lemonnier. o Directly in charge of 8 soldiers and was responsible for their well being, assisting in training them to and above company standards, ensuring they stick to a strict physical training regiment, and hold them accountable for the maintenance and accountability of all their assigned equipment o Consistently performed as Non Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) of the main Entry Control Point on base. This consisted of checking on each position to ensure each soldier on shift was performing to standard, providing subordinates with anything they needed to accomplish the mission at hand, and being directly in charge of the main office. This allowed me the opportunity to oversee who ultimately was/ was not allowed into the base due to their credentials (or lack thereof). o Periodically performed as Sergeant of the Guard (SOG) for all Entry Control Points (ECPs) on base and was in charge of checking on every security position on base to ensure the positions themselves, and the soldiers manning them, were up to all standards. This also included making decisions on any difficult situations that arose in verifying credentials, escorting people on/ off base when needed, and working with military police to kick unauthorized people off of base when necessary.
