PDC specialises in the design and production of injection moulded products. During my time there I worked on a large range of parts and products, from toys to valves, and supplied parts for rapid prototypes and mass manufacture. I started as Graduate Designer and quickly moved up to the Design Manager. These promotions led me to take responsibility of every aspect of the design and manufacturing process; including timings, production and commercials. As a manager I created, installed and maintained procedures to obtain ISO9001 certification for the company and developed the first time-management system for the company. I have overseen tool sign off programmes both in China and UK. My main duties included: Liaison with customers and suppliers Management of staff including; training, workloads and timings 3D Design using SolidWorks Development of products for injection moulding Rapid prototyping including jigs, rigs and 3D prints Project management BOMs & GA drawings Show less

They had limited in house design capabilities, so I reviewed designs for tooling suitability and drew up CAD concept to help the sales director win contracts.
