Parent Coaching is an empowering process that involves the coach and parent working together to co-create an improved reality for your parenting. Through a one-hour conversation every week for around 10 weeks, we go through four phases (4Ds) to learn everything about you and your parenting style and approaches; we identify your “Dream" and help you fulfill and reach it. We usually kick off this process by conducting an in-take session. During this session we tend to know each other and build the trust and relationship to make the best out of this process. These phases are: 1. Discovery Phase (2 sessions): During this phase, we talk about the current situation - the challenges, what is working and what isn't. We focus on the positives and strengths. 2. Dream Phase (2 sessions): We talk about your hopes and dreams; the best scenario you would like to have for your parenting and family, and we start to identify and visualize it. 3. Design Phase (5 sessions): We put together an action plan (micro-steps) to make the dream fulfillment possible for you. We discuss how we can reflect this on your daily routine. We talk about developmentally appropriate approaches and parenting techniques for your children's needs at this stage of growth. 4. Destiny Phase (1 session): We reach the stage where parenting is an enjoyable process that allows you and your children to further grow and build on your relationship reaching your full potential, and realizing your DREAM. At this phase, you are confident and able to get through any arising challenge with ease. Coaching is a very effective way to empower parents- it does not tell you what to do, on the contrary, it allows you to discover your potential, identify your parenting identity and enjoy your children and parenthood.
