  At the age of 13 I started my passion for music and since then I cannot stop dreaming about it. I am totally self-taught and I learned to read how to play the bass, piano and guitar by myself . I started in some local bands from Cuba in the genre of salsa, bands called SOS, Oriol and its Group and many others. Until , I reached a well-known band in Cuba called Charanga Forever, which has performanced worlwide , including the USA and several countries in Europe. After doing several performances for years with them in Cuba , the band and I traveled to Cancun, Mexico . After finishing my contract I decided to live in Mexico. For 2 years I worked for the hotel chain Barcelo in Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo as part of thE Hotels musical band. I came to the USA in search of the freedom I did not have in Cuba. I have lived here since 2013 and I had several performances with local bands but for me the most significant performance was at the Telluride jazz festival in 2016. I went there with the Banda Sobredosis del Sabor and we were recognized as one of the best groups of this festival. We shared the main stage of the festival with personalities such as Felix Pastorius, Jeff Coffin and Roy Wilfred Wooten among others. Aside of that, I have only been playing with small local bands performing music in Top 40s, Funk, RnB, Salsa and Weddings. I am currently living in El Paso, Texas. I would like work on a cruise because I think the music in small towns like the ones I've lived in such as Rochester ,NY and El Paso, TX does not have much life. That's one of the reasons that I would like to be on a cruise where I can play every day and interact with musicians of my same level or better. Rayzo De Armas Cerda Show less
