      The evident inequity in resources and power in Jakarta have always been an issue throughout the years. The Global Jaya School's annual flea market is an event that focuses on empowering those living in relative poverty by providing low-priced donated items ranging from children's book and fashion to household utilities and food staples that are needed to survive the big city. Global Jaya's annual flea market has also been a great platform for the community to bond and acknowledge the unequal distribution of resources by giving back to society in the hopes of improving the social cohesion of a community to create a better city.
