This was more of an observational experience to familiarize myself with Tyrone's school district & community culture. I did teach some lessons, but really focused on getting to know the teachers, students, and staff. At the middle school, I observed a 7th grade mathematics course. In addition to studying the classroom, I would often assist in answering questions students may have had when doing independent work. I also had the opportunity to do a mini lesson of my own during one of the classes, which overall was a great way to see what teaching is all about.
