Seconded to Balfour Beatty, I oversaw the refurbishment of a number of Train Stations for the London Underground, including Queensway Station and Shepherd’s Bush Station. 2m project. I was the Site Manager with a Company who won the contract to convert 3 floors from office space, into classrooms. The contract included installing M/F partition walls and to the first floor rooms on the face side of the Atrium, new glass walls and ceilings, new M/E and IT dado in each classroom and a new cafeteria and seating area for the students in the Atrium. 2m project. 500k installation of a BT Communications room in Cambridge. This was a predominantly M/E fit out. The client was BT, who wanted to install a new BT 21st Century Comms Room. The project involved installing new under floor trays to carry the cables for the new UPS and LV units. Three new Air Handling Units were installed to counter the heat from the LV units. During the project a number of asbestos panels were discovered and removed according to CDM Regulations. 500k installation of a BT Communications room in Cambridge. Each flat had a detailed list of planned works. These included new bathroom suites, new kitchen units, new flooring, minimum electrical outlets to each room. I also coordinated access to the tenants' flats. The budget included the refurbishment of the roof to each block of flats. This included panelled walls with blue glass reveals, leading up to a coffered ceiling with floating panels.
