As a Maintenance Planner, I provide and create an overall plan to maximise labour resources in keeping plant operations in order and minimise loss of productivity at all times. I create detailed plans of all maintenance tasks including specific equipment, electronic permits, work hours, tools needed, parts or components required and costs. Mechanical Fitter

As a Mechanical Fitter, I maintained, modified, repaired and upgraded the following equipment at BP Refinery Kwinana in accordance with client requirements and safety regulations:•Pumps, pneumatic or instrument lines installation of packing, deluge systems, heat exchangers, gauge glasses, fire equipment, braided and rubber hoses.•Air-Hydro testing of fixed plant equipment such as heat exchangers, oil coolers, gauge glasses, braided and rubber hoses, and numerous other components and parts.I completed assigned tasks, including repairs and maintenance duties, whilst working in extreme hazardous areas such as HF acid, H2S and nitrogen equipment areas in-line work, health and safety protocols, policies and procedures. I ensured all breakdown repairs are completed with minimum downtime to maximize production outputs. Lastly, I collaborated with BP engineers and operators regarding upgrades, modifications, issues, problems and upcoming shutdowns, ensuring uninterrupted operations to the plant.In this role, I performed fault finding, diagnostic troubleshooting and problem solving during assigned tasks and routine maintenance. I completed isolation of machinery ensuring compliance to lock-out procedures for removal of energy source are followed enabling a safe working environment to complete repairs, modifications and other required tasks. I operated a forklift and elevating work platform, work in confined spaces and at heights in completion of daily duties while observing workplace health and safety policies. I attended daily pre-start meetings and weekly toolbox meetings; participate in safety initiatives such as Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Take 5’s, and site risk assessment and risk management discussions. I monitored rigging equipment utilised, inspected existing structures and components, and removed components found defective.
