I joined Superbreak in 1997 at the invitation of joint MDs Nick Cust OBE and Mark Wray. Two of the best guys I have ever met in business. I served alongside Ian Mounser (Sales) and Frank Regan (Operations) and the five of us grew the business, buying many major competitors to become the UKs leading Short Break operator. The advent of the digital age brought its challenges but we took 'em on and Superbreak.com became a favorite for consumers and agents alike. In recent years the board has changed in all aspects and in September 2012 Holidaybreak plc including Superbreak was bought by the global travel giant Cox and Kings. As I step down I wish the board and new owners every possible success. Its been 15 truly GREAT years. I will no doubt now become a client and remain a total advocate. Show less

Guildford, Surrey We acquired West End Theatre Bookings from its entrepreneurial owner, Andrew Peterson. For three and a half years Andrew remained with the company before handing the reins to new MD Dan Pearce. We grew the business from a turnover of 11 million to over 20 and profitability from 300K to over 1 million PA. In June of 2011 we sold the business for just short of 11 million to Encore Tickets. West End had a very special chemistry. London I served three terms as non exec director at Visit London - The world's leading destination marketing organisation, promoting the worlds greatest city. I had the pleasure of working alongside David Campbell who went onto AEG and now F1, James Bidwell and Sally Chatergee. I had the pleasure of working alongside David Campbell who went onto AEG and now F1, James Bidwell and Sally Chatergee. Throughout this time Tamara Ingram (of Grey Advertising) was Chair and the board consisted of many influencers from the travel industry. Visit London revolutionised what was the old London Tourist Board, was instrumental in assisting with the 2012 Olympic bid and created a new public / private business model for destination marketing agencies worldwide. Sadly in 2011 the business was forced into administration as part of the Mayors restructure of bodies marketing the capital. Visit London is now part of London and Partners incorporating Think, Study and Visit London. I sincerely hope the organisation thrives and continues to do great work in promoting the greatest city on the planet. Show less

London, United Kingdom Centre Stage was my first business, over time establishing itself as market leader in the provision of London Theatre Breaks. We combined tickets to top London shows with overnight accommodation at Radisson Edwardian Hotels. The business expanded in Thatchers boom economy, opening offices in Manchester and New York, and contracted in the recession of the 90s. The business was sold to Edwardian Hotels who had the resources and vision to launch significant above-the-line marketing campaigns.
