Published in Nature Biomedical Engineering. - Developed a radiology report generation model that uses Open AI's CLIP model to select sentences for an x-ray image based on a large text corpus. Further studied the metrics for evaluating report generation models. - Worked to study and understand when chest x-ray models disagree with one another and fail to determine short comings of diagnostic models or identify when models should be dismissed in favor of expert opinion. - Released data set (CheXphoto) of naturally and synthetically perturbed photos of chest x-rays. Intended to support development of radiologist-level diagnostic models in a wide range of clinical settings. Additionally organized the CheXphoto competition to benchmark model robustness.
