Ray is a mainframe security and vulnerability expert. He has a deep background in IT dating back to high school. He took this passion and translated it into a BS degree in Computer Science then into a career in IT Security. He is a 30-year veteran in the specialized and highly-demanding arena of mainframe information security; his special focus is mainframe vulnerability management and consultations to match organizations strategic business needs. He has consulted with various government and multinational clients on information system security, enterprise security management and design, policy review, penetration testing, technical configuration evaluation, security procedures and disaster recovery/business continuity planning. For the past 9 years, he has been providing security software and consulting services to Fortune 500 institutions focusing on comprehensive z/OS environment code-based vulnerability assessments. He utilizes an interactive application security testing (IAST) product, which KRI developed, to perform real-time binary z/OS integrity assessments. This software product is z/Assure® VAP (Vulnerability Assessment Program). In his spare time Ray enjoys trout fishing all over the world and searching for the next coin to add to his world class collection.
