Ray carries with him a great work ethic and ability to get things done. I worked with Ray on a number of projects over the years. He was extremely helpful in acquiring the resources I needed to get the projects completed, and always willing to help with questions. Ray is also both insightful and has a great sense of humour which made him a pleasure to work with.
Glenn Ludlow
Ray was a business stakeholder for a large project. I found Ray to be very articulate about his business concerns and business needs, and strongly focussed on achieving the necessary outcomes. He maintains quality, professional relationships and earns respect from all those around him. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with such a professional business manager, such as Ray.

General Manager - QLD
-
Jul 2014 - Apr 2017
As the General Manager for ANC QLD I firstly restructured the business operation, reversing a position of financial loss to secure consistent year on year growth and profitability. This involved the closure of a loss making division and the cessation of it's service type, the restructure of fleet contracts and the launch of new to market courier services more in tune to the needs of our customers within a market ever more reliant on speed and efficiency. Mandate: -Lead the turnaround of the company's poor financial performance. -Lead a staff base covering sales, operations and administration across a 100 plus vehicle fleet servicing the delivery needs of major national clients including Bunnings, IKEA, Fuji Xerox, Sullivan and Nicolaides and Brisbane City Council. -Transform the transaction based culture and create high performance teams focused on longer tern strategies. -Manage the ongoing success and growth of the business. Highlights included: -Regenerated loss making business to year on year profitability growth each year since commencement. -Restructured services to reduce reliance on the bottom end market. Thus removing the chaotic culture associated with this market and achieving rapid and significant turnaround in operating profit. -Restructured and empowered mid-level management through mentoring and development strategies to embrace a change culture focused on long term relationship outcomes. -Significantly reduced overheads across the business and consolidated back office functions into the national group. -Supported staff to move forward and embrace the company’s new direction and ethos, gaining respect, camaraderie and a positive, productive work environment. -Queensland business turnaround nominated as the highlight of the groups achievements by CEO. The roles of State GM's were retrenched due to the merger of State stake holding which brought about a full back office consolidation into NSW. Show less
