Research activities include writing funding proposals, initial concept and protocol development, data management and case report form development, study initiation, study scientific and regulatory oversight with quality assurance/quality control activities, study closure, data analysis, and writing manuscripts for publication. Clinical trials conducted focus on translating basic research into clinical practice using novel imaging biomarkers, particularly PET/CT scans, to provide insights into TB pathogenesis and treatment response. Study results have been published in high impact journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Nature Medicine, and Science Translational Medicine.
