Mr. Chang is one of the most charismatic and passionate teachers I’ve had. From tackling challenging problems to understanding theoretical applications, Mr. Chang has given me and my peers the opportunity to truly understand what mathematics can do to reflect our daily lives. I won’t forget the times when he supported us tirelessly through office hours before final exams. He demonstrated his agile skills by teaching us Higher Level Mathematics for the first time – and was instrumental in helping our HL class receive the highest marks in the whole school's average IB exam scores for my year. Ever since I had learnt from Mr. Chang, my enthusiasm for STEM had reached a new level. Not only was he able to prepare me well for the mathematics courses I had taken at Stanford, I was able to comfortably lean on the content as a solid foundation to accelerate my academic growth in university. Mr. Chang’s ability to connect with his students naturally is a gift that not many teachers have. I am thankful for his effort, time, and care for each and every one of his students – and never ceases to encourage students to aim higher.
