Bio
Gaurav Swarup Bhatnagar
I had the honor of working with Ray on the culture transformation effort at the Alcoa (now Arconic) Technology Center over a period of 3 years. My experience of Ray was that of a consummate HR professional with keen appreciation of business principles committed to creating a culture where every individual at the center could thrive and contribute at their fullest potential. Perhaps more importantly I came to deeply appreciate Ray as a human being. His warmth, care and commitment to the values of goodness and respect has been a true revelation and he has transcended from just being a client to being a friend who I deeply respect and hold in the highest regard.
Gregory Quaglia, MBA
I worked within Ray’s directorate as an indirect report at Alcoa and Arconic (Arconic was formed when Alcoa split into two companies). Ray is a dynamic leader, evident by the multiple and varied functions reporting to him, and by his range of connecting with employees and colleagues through accountability, caring, passion for results, and the ability to quickly grasp the details of varied subject matter. Ray would hold employee recognition events as a part of his quarterly directorate meetings, leading peer to peer recognition opportunities, both formal and informal. Ray led the implementation of Insights Discovery at our site, transforming the site to a deep understanding of employee communication preferences and situational behaviors. He would engage employees and offer opportunities for growth, challenging the employee outside of their typical experience and skillset. For me personally, Ray asked if I would become an Insights Discovery facilitator and also to lead the site employee Mentoring Team. Both offered me opportunities to challenge myself and to learn and apply different skill sets. I highly recommend Ray for senior leadership roles. He is a tremendous, inspirational leader, and truly a valuable asset to any organization, bringing broad and diverse experience, poise, and employee growth and development.
