  In the Florida Exposure and Anxiety Response (FEAR) lab, I assist with a longitudinal self-stigma research project for adolescents with mental illness. My responsibilities include consenting participants in the clinic, researching well-being measures, and inputting relevant measures into the Redcap database. At their outpatient clinic, I assisted patients with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. I also observed patient intake sessions. Additionally, I score diagnostic assessments and draft reports after the assessments were completed. I also contact companies such as Pearson, PAR, and MHS, to order quotes for testing materials and took inventory. During their week-long summer camp, I was a counselor for three girls with OCD and anxiety. In this role, I planned and facilitated ERP therapy in addition to maintaining a joyful atmosphere for the girls. I also interacted with youth outside of my group to encourage the three girls to socialize with the older kids as part of their exposures. Show less

  As a teaching assistant for LGBT Psychology, I graded 15 discussion posts and essays each week, facilitated small group discussions, and recorded a lecture presentation on intersectional research regarding the misconceptions of disabled LGBT+ young people.

  I planned and led biweekly poetry workshops intended for the larger campus community to reframe poetry as an accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful artform with a rich history. I founded the Children Heard and Seen Emotionally (CHASE) mentorship program at a local after-school center to encourage youth to write creatively. The Living Poets Society then collaborated with non-profit community organizations to create the first annual Art of Unity showcase in December of 2022, which was designed to bring together family-friendly artists of all genres to perform in front of their community. The showcase sold 150 tickets, secured $5000 in external funding, and highlighted twenty artists, including a youth from the CHASE mentorship program. I collaborated with bands and sold promotional items at their concert venues and interviewed artists to post on our social media and organized the magazine issue release party.
