       Implement, organize, coordinate and monitor HSE programs on the Offshore rig.  Assist MEA management in providing a quality HSE environment on the rig.  Apply effective & efficient HSE procedures and ensure emergency and life-saving equipment is maintained.  Ensure HSE and training documentation are up-to-date and properly maintained.  Ensure an accurate Personnel On Board count is kept and emergency assignments for all personnel on location are available at all times in case of an emergency.  Ensure every person on location has a quality rig orientation and is aware of HSE and emergency procedures.  Treat crew members with respect, fairness and professionalism.  Maintain good two way communication with crew members and client representatives.  Participate in the development of newly appointed crew members.  Assist in the conduction of pre-shift safety meetings to enable safe and efficient handover from the previous shift.  Plan and facilitate weekly HSE meetings.  Maintain regulatory compliance as related to position.  Provide guidance and support to crew members as required.  Oversee the development, training and administration of the STOP Program and prepare STOP program data and information for weekly safety meetings.  Assist with the creation, review and revision of Job Safety Analysis procedures with crews.  Responsible to help ensure the accuracy of input into the accident/incident process, including reporting and follow-up actions to implement corrections and improvements.  Help identify, communicate and resolve any conflicts that may exist between safety and operational targets.  Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement.  Ensure compliance with companies HSEQ Management System thus allowing for safe, efficient operations.  Review and work towards the Standards of Competence for a Safety Training Specialist.  Conducting Internal safety audites.  Leading incident investigations on board.
