      As a Senior Benefits Advisor, I spend my day talking with agents, & Medicare eligible individuals, educating them on the Medicare program. As a General Agency, Emerson Reid holds contracts with most of the local Advantage/PDP and supplement carriers in the tri-state area, as well as some national carriers. Being a front-runner in this department at Emerson Reid has been nothing short of exciting! On one hand, I contract & train agents, getting them ready to service their clients and their medical needs as they turn 65. I provide daily support, as well as offer a hands-on approach in the annual compliance training & exam required of all agents in the Medicare market. On the other hand, I meet directly with Medicare eligible individuals in a one-on-one setting, helping them understand their health insurance options as they retire or turn 65. Since my clients are all agents, many of them coordinate with me to help them service their clients directly. At the end of the day, I truly enjoy what I do. There are more people turning 65 now than ever before (thanks to all of you baby-boomers!). Being able to assist them in making a major decision in their lives ends up being my pleasure. I have never experienced a more appreciative type of client then one who has had no understanding of the Medicare program, and after spending a short amount of time with me, they completely understand the lifetime decisions they are about to make.
